Hey everyone. Just another update within the company.

As you can tell, This website has gotten a facelift of all things. Yey :3

Besides that, I've released another product called Tenkwear Mercury, a male version of the Tenkwear Jeanne De Arc.  The Unnamed Freebie is no known as Tenkwear Flinthoof.

The Fossl Vending System Project turned out to attarct some attention. I'm quite surprised at all the questions I seem to be recieving. So I guess there is some promise as to this lil project of mine.

The only bad thing I can list to this day is that I still am consumed by colledge finals, but that will not last for long.

Anywho. I shall keep you updated here when I can. Yes, A redundant statement, but I felt I had to say it. :3

Finally!!!

After a couple of months, I got something out to sell.

Here it is, the Tenkwear Athena. A 9 prim sculpted shoe. It is open in the toes and heel. Textures are baked with AO lighting with one of the prims having a simple design. Looks great on any warrior princess. =^_-=

Out of all the things that I still have, I kept around  a 3d model of myself as the Aventity Male Husky. :3 I Just had to make an orthogonal picture of the model in all its glory. This might make for a good image reference when designing something. The image has been made SL Upload friendly at an image resolution of 1,024 x 512 so you won't stretch or squash the image in any way uploading it. Here we go...

 

I enjoy the rendering style that went into this image. Could it be  the new style of Tenkwear???  0_o

 

In other news, I checked my SL profile and was surprised at what I sold during the week I had off. Seems to me that you guys liked the changes I made @ the GYC. Going for the simplistic model on a prim style  seemed to help sales out. However, I might have to figure out how this is going to apply to the spaces @ rcfm and Serenity woods where I'm only allowed a single vendor. :P

Well, Some of you may know by now why this site hasn't been updated yet. For those who don't. Let me tell you that  I have lost all my hard drives.  within a week, most of my permament  data storage has been lost as well as all my hard work that was stored on there.

 

Please be patient as I  find a replacement for the lost Media.

 

When I get the replacements, I'll then finally be able to get back onto Secondlife and work on my porjects for this company. (A graphical revamp as well as a new item)

The December holiday party will commance within less than 2 weeks. By that time, I should be out of my school semester and will be chillin with my family till early January.

 

The party will have the following:

Free gifts - I'll be giving away my stuff for free on the event. Limited to one item per person.

Arcade games - Two arcade games will be available to play with alone or with a friend. These are the same one I had used on the Halloween Bash.

Dances - A dance floor had already been in place on the roof of the new Tenkwear headquarters. There wouldn't be a better time than now to make use of it.

Contests - Like the Halloween Bash, there will be two mini contests. Each winner will recieve l$200 in cash. :)

    Best dressed Male and Female - When the party will draw to a close, I'll ask for a tally of votes on who is the best dressed male and female. Winner will have the most votes.

    Arcade Game High scorers - When the party draws to a close, Highest scoring arcade players will win a prize and a trophy.

 

I hope that like last event, this one would be a blast! The date and time aren't definate as of yet, but check back later as I'd most surely be more specific about the date and time. =^_^=

Here is the current status of whats on my mind (company related of course).

 

    I am currently working on a freelance project which will be done soon. The project netted me with more than enough income to keep me afloat for at least a month and expand a bit. I sometimes do freelance to make a living out of sl. The downpayment was enough for me to rent at Serenity woods and the Gay Yiffy Club Mall as well as ante up my classified price. I hope this makes my Secondlife presence more pronounced in the future.

   

    I had always been thinking of what comes next. And I have had some generous input from a few of my shoppers which I will mention later. I can say this over and over again. Your input is appreciated and highly encouraged. I am thinking of setting up a suggestion box to go near my vendors that I rent out. Something tells me that is what is needed to hear a word from you guys and gals.

As for the suggestions...

    One of them was that I sell the current selection with multiple color themes. I do think that is a nice idea. And currently, I'm designing the next version of the FOSSL Vending system to become multi-category to allow this sort of thing to happen.

    Another was to look towards developing something leathery with straps, spikes, and chains. They sent me a pic of a plantigrade shoe with what they liked on it. I'm sure tackling a project like that would help build my skills up some.

    One last suggestion that I'd like to take note of is to add special features to these shoes such as artificially flying, dashing, anything not possible by normal means which would require the use of scripting to accomplish. I think thats cool too. I think that it would add value to the product and customers would like to get more for something at the same price. :) I already have tried this with the Raven. Those shoes can cycle through all the colors in the rainbow and revert back to neon green upon command. The script seemed to take this shoe from ordinary to a must have for a rave party. Do expect something to come out with scripted enhancements someday.

 

    As for the FOSSL Vendor Project. It is progressing at a slow and steady rate. Currently, it's still in the design phase. I have opened up to the public to allow anyone who wished to lend a hand a chance at developing something that can be a great contribution to the community. So far, no takers. :( Apparently, everyone else if too busy with their own thing to help their community by developing somehting great. Oh well. As I sometimes say, "You cannot rush progress".

This is all that is on my mind as of now. Do come back in the event that I update.

Nothing is going my way this week! >:(

    I  have had ISP issues on top of  inventory loss and bugs that affect my stuff.

I honestly felt sorry for one of my customers whom have bought the Jeanne d'Arc because not only did she have a perms bug with her avatar, the parts that were moddable made my stuff fit the wrong way. Rotations gone completely shitty and I swear I had it working flawlessly the week before I released it! >:O

    I other news, I have moved to a different sim. You may find it at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Ryder%20Haven/142/242/27. I have also found an old pair of shoes that still survived and lingered hidden in my objects folder. The design looks good, but it may need some modern touches w/ my newfound skills. I also plan on having a December holiday party. Like the Halloween party, it will have fun, games, dancing, and contests. Date and time have yet to be decided, but I hope it will be as big, if not bigger than the Halloween bash. :)

Just an update of the how the website is going to function...

 

Notice:

The links area to the left that was going to be an image map is now a webpage that targets this IFRAME.
I might have a website that is going to be easier to manage and update. This might mean a full fledged website is not hopeless afterall!!! And just for kicks, you get quick access to google :D... Whooo!!! XD

 

 

And on a more serious note... I plan on moving out of Furry Park (now called Ryder Park) because I feel like I'm paying too much for rent compared to all the other (and often better) deals I see for land right now. I'm at the stage where I'm looking around and being a wise shopper.

I have officially implemented the automated proccess of wearing your new shoes. You no longer have to fiddle with your purchase. Any of the previous buyers should have recieved the update.

I have also added a new shoe to the list of products. The Tenkwear Raven is a rave shoe designed for the Mutation Industries Male Fox avatar. It is also the first shoe in the product line to include an added script. Typing "/43 start "would cause the shoe to cycle between colors. Typing "/43 stop" will cause the shoe to revert to green.

I Added an area to host the FOSSL Venging system project.

Yep, It's lil' ol' me again. I have come to tell you that there is going to be a new and easier way to use my products.

    I'm designing a couple of scripts that will automate the whole proccess of removing the excess prims off of the avatar's leg and then having the shoe position, rotate, then link itself to the leg. If you have the avatar as shown on display, just add the target script to the leg and then rezz the upper shoe half. The script will ask for permissions to edit the objects and before you know it, it's done! What's left is to create a script that determines which linked prims need to be removed from the avatar's leg before the linkage between the shoe and the leg happens. Once that is done, those who have already bought from me should expect an update. Vendors will be updated accordingly.

The Open Source Vending system, FOSSL Vendor, is now out and open to the public. It can be found at my store in Furry Park, or can be obtained from Seconlife Exchange. Please try it out sometime and let me know what you think about it. ^_^

Okay, okay, I guess I lied about having a decent website by the end of the month. ^_^;

    It really doesn't help when you have so much on your plate. I never expected it to be this "easy" to run your own Secondlife based business. No pain, no gain ;)

    Between last post and this post, I have set up three vending locations for my product. One of them is in Rocket City Furmeet, one is at the new AMC Hangar in Flyintails, And one of them is at Tenkwear Headquarters in Furry Park. Currently, there are three products being sold at these locations. One of them is the Trailblazer for the Aventity Husky avatar. Another is the Forester for the Aventity Fox avatar. And then there is the Laccire for Gravity Write's Female Fox avatar.

    I have created a group called Tenkwear Products. Feel free to join this group to recieve updates and notices related to this Secondlife company.

    Also, I have released the source code to my vending system under GPL v3 licence called FOSSL Vendor v0.5. If you have used my vendor in any of the three locations mentioned above, you would know that it is a web based vending system capable of gift purchases and hologram display. Feel free to IM me to recieve a copy of the scripts.

Thats all the news I have on the top of my head for now. ^_^

    What a week! After a few days of pulling hair, frying my brain, and pouring my soul into the giftcarding system, I've finally got a working giftcarding proccess. The giftcarding proccess does involve the use of e-mail and http requests, but it doesn't take forever to either activate or redeem them.

    I've tested out the new system a few times with a few of my friends today just to check for any glaring errors in the proccess. Just so you know, the giftcard will only activate on land that permits you to rez things. I will allow giftcards to be rezzed at the newly established Tenkwear headquarters in Furry Park. (slurl to this place will come soon)

    With the vendor just about finished, all that is left is filling in these pages with important documentation. This should be complete before the end of this month.

    After 975 tedious lines of coding for the database server and (alot) of lines for the many scripts that make up my vendor, the final challenge I face is scripting the giftcard. Its gonna be hell, but I swear I have been there and back. I expect a working vendor system by the end of this week.

    After That, I assure you I'll get to work on all the pretty stuff that this website should be made of. Like Documentation. Y'know, the stuff people will look for when things explode in their face. D:>

... just kiddin about the explosions ^_-

Anyways.... Its about time I get productive and start making things work. I'll be doing tests and re-tests to make sure things do as they are told to. And if you wanted to know whats the hold up. I'd have to say its coding in a gift card system from scratch. When it comes to the way Secondlife works... Coding a vendor to sell a (mod/copy/no-trans) item = easy. Having a vendor gift a (mod/copy/no-trans) item the right way = hard. You can either take my word for it, or try it for yourself and see what I mean.
